​Mr. Charlie Alexander “Fat Man” Bailey, Jr., age 56, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. He was a native of Person County.  

He was preceded in death by his father Charlie Bailey, Sr.; stepfather Robert Cunningham; brother Dennis Bailey; grandparents Beatrice Taborn, Earl Taborn and Rosa Taborn; sister-in-law Cathy Bailey; aunt Louise Spencer; uncles Vernon Jones, Jimmy Taborn and Frank Taborn; nephew Bruce Moore and cousin Jonathan Burton.

Charlie Alexander “Fat Man” Bailey, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his mother Betty Taborn Cunningham of Roxboro, North Carolina; “like a daughter” Marvette Talley of Roxboro, North Carolina; sisters Tracie Bailey Moore and Lisa Street (Carlos), both of Roxboro, North Carolina; brothers Billy Clyde Bailey (Tabitha) of Richmond, Virginia and Kenneth Bailey of Roxboro, North Carolina; aunts Earlie Mae Lawson (Earl), Margaret Finley and Beatrice Burton, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Sherry Jones, Terry Jones and Lois Palmer, all of Baltimore, Maryland; uncle Melvin Jones (Darlene) of Baltimore, Maryland; three grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
