Mr. Larry Donnell McGhee, age 72, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
He was born on December 4, 1954 to the union of the late Walter McGhee, Sr. and the late Fannie Garrett McGhee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Plymouth, Joseph, Walter Jr., Willie and Dizzy; and four sisters: Virginia Hawley, Sylvia Daye, Martha Holeman and Mary Frances Wagstaff.
Mr. Larry Donnell McGhee leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Cindy Whitfield of Rougemont, North Carolina; step-son Lester Barker of Rougemont, North Carolina; step-daughter Crystal Barker of Mebane, North Carolina; two step-grandchildren; sister Geraldine McGhee of Person County, North Carolina; special nephew Michael “Mickey” Hawley of Roxboro, North Carolina; sister-in-law Norris Jean Stanfield of Roxboro, North Carolina; best friends: Jack and Peggy; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
