Ms. Shaunda Lizette Bowman, age 61, departed her Earthly life and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at her residence in Durham, North Carolina.
She was born in Person County on February 15, 1965 to the union of the late Beeman Emerson Bowman, Jr. and the late Loriner Whitt Bowman.
Shaunda graduated from Stony Brook College in Nyack, New York. She was a Registered Nurse for more than thirty years – serving patients at John Umstead Hospital in Butner, North Carolina and Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Shaunda was preceded in death by her grandparents Eglantine Bowman and Effie Whitt.
Ms. Shaunda Lizette Bowman leaves to cherish her memory her uncles: Quinland Bowman, Sr. (Paulette) of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Robert Louis Whitt (Mary Ann) of San Francisco, California; aunt Reverend Gladys Whitt Piles of Roxboro, North Carolina; aunt-in-love Anastasia Whitmire; twelve loving cousins; special friend David Jefferson of Raleigh, North Carolina; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
