Mrs. Geneva Word McDougal, age 96, of Roxboro, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her residence.
She was a native of Person County. She was preceded in death by her husband Hansel Matthew McDougal, Sr.; parents Joe Word and Cynthia Clara Smith Word; three brothers and two sisters; and one grandson.
Mrs. Geneva Word McDougal is survived by four daughters Carolyn Elizabeth Word of Laurel, Maryland; Eva Jennetta McDougal of Roxboro, North Carolina; Reverend Dr. Amy McDougal Susong (Reverend Charles) of Salisbury, North Carolina; and Sharon McDougal-Isley (Ray) of Garner, North Carolina; four sons Hansel Matthew McDougal, Jr. (Donna Gail) of Roxboro, North Carolina; James Reginald McDougal of Sumter, South Carolina; Bernard Burke McDougal of Buford, Georgia; and Cleophus McDougal (Debra) of Garner, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends.
