Mrs. Amanda Ree Bolton Majors, age 87, a native of Roxboro, North Carolina entered eternal rest on June 18, 2021 in Durham, North Carolina.
Mrs. Majors was a member of First Baptist Church. In 1965, she opened and operated the first childcare center for African American children in Roxboro. She continued working with hundreds of children until she retired in 2008.She is preceded in death by her parents Reid Bolton and Louise Drumwright Bolton Walker. Mrs. Majors leaves to cherish her memory six children Constance Evol Majors McNeal (husband Paul); William Majors III; Isabel Nadine Majors Crawley; Penny Louise Majors; Hauteek Majors; and April O’Day Majors; and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
