Mrs. Willoree Lester Kilgore-Lunsford, age 72, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at her residence in Roxboro, North Carolina. She was a native of Person County, a member of Elijah Grove Baptist Church in Roxboro, North Carolina and an active member of Sigma Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
She was preceded in death by her father Evangel Lester; mother Virginia Carrington Lester; son Douglas Eddie Kilgore; brothers Calvin MacArthur Lester and John L. Oliphant; sister Katherine Johnson Mahmood; and her mother-in-law Anna Lunsford.
Mrs. Willoree Lester Kilgore-Lunsford leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband Robert Roy Lunsford, Sr. of the home; three children Robert R. Lunsford, Jr. (wife Kimberly) of Roxboro, North Carolina; Rhonda L. Lester (husband Chester) of Grayson, Georgia; and Dr. Chaplain Oveida Lunsford of Roxboro, North Carolina; three sisters Nannie Tyree of Potomac, Maryland; Shelia McGhee (husband Martin) of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Pastor Deborah Redmond (husband Pastor Maurice) of Charlotte, North Carolina; four brothers Minister Sherman Lester of Charlotte, North Carolina; Minister Richard Lester (wife Minister Thelma) of Mebane, North Carolina; Robert Lester (special friend Donna Melvin) of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Chester Lester (wife Rhonda) of Grayson, Georgia; three sisters-in-law Lula Dee Clark, Mary Pettiford and Marilyn Oliphant, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; two brothers-in-law Eddie Lunsford, Jr. (special friend Belleia Rivers) and James Goods, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; one god grandson; six great-grandchildren; and numerous loving additional relatives and friends.
