Mrs. Sharon Josephine Jackson Dixon, age 66, of Durham, North Carolina departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was a native of Person County and a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Person Senior High School and Piedmont Community College.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents John Vanstory Jackson and Effie Clayton Jackson.  She is survived by her husband Joe Douglas Dixon, Jr. of Durham, North Carolina; one daughter Rashel Dionna Dixon Eastman (husband Martin Luther King Eastman) of Graham, North Carolina; four sisters Mildred Jackson, Brenda Hollingsworth and Teresa Jean Jackson all of Roxboro, North Carolina and Joyce Jackson Hall of St. Albans, New York; one brother Johnny Jackson, Jr. of Roxboro, North Carolina; and a host of relatives and friends.
