Mr. Devin Vashone Carver, age 44, transitioned on Thursday, February 18, 2021, peacefully, at his residence in Roxboro, North Carolina. He attended Person High School but graduated from Oxford Webb High School in Oxford, North Carolina as a member of the “Class of 1994”.
He was preceded in death by his father Coach Harold Ray Carver; grandfather Bazer Carver; grandmother Carrie Louise Smith Barrett; aunts Barbara Pettiford, Iola Daye, Pearl Rogers, Betty Bowe and Jamie Royster; and uncle Johnny Rogers.
Mr. Devin Vashone Carver is survived by his mother Yvonne Carver of the home; one brother Kevin Carver (wife Dr. Michelle Foster) of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandmother Glennie Carver of Roxboro; one niece Noni Carver; one nephew Knoah Carver; aunts Lillie Smith (husband Fred) and Frances Rogers both of Durham, North Carolina; Mamie Winstead (husband Carl) of Roxboro; Michelle Barrett, Alana Barrett, Donna Barrett, Rhonda Woody and Debra Pinnix all of New Jersey; uncle James Woody, Jr. of Charlotte; special friends Skeeter Bowes, Brandon Spencer, DeCarlo Pettiford, Jodie Suitt and Dominique Burton all of Roxboro; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
