Mr. Curtis William Bradsher, age 86, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. He was born to the union of the late Green Bradsher and the late Glossie Paylor Bradsher on February 13, 1937 in Person County, North Carolina.
Mr. Bradsher served as the first Black County Commissioner of Person County; he was the owner of Bradsher Insurance Company; and served his church, Union Grove Baptist Church, as a Deacon.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bradsher was preceded in death by his brother Harvey Bradsher; sisters-in-law Arlenia Bradsher, Gladys Mae Cozart and Clara Jane Cozart; and brother-in-law James Cozart.
Mr. Curtis William Bradsher leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Cozart Bradsher; son Jeffrey Bradsher (wife Sabeth); two grandchildren Sophia Bradsher and Joshua Bradsher; sister-in-law Christine Cozart; and numerous nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
