Mrs. Edna Mae Richardson, age 93, of Roxboro, North Carolina, received her wings to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025. She was the fifth of eight children born to the late Goldie Dillard, Sr. and late Mary Smith Dillard. She was the last survivor of her siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Roland S. Richardson; sisters: Elizabeth Hollis; Gertrude Craighead; Josephine Hall; Lucille Dorsey; brothers: Marshall Dillard; Goldie E. Dillard Jr; and Oscar Dillard; and grandson Orlando Q. Richardson, Jr.
Mrs. Edna Mae Richardson leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughters: Toni B. Richardson of Temple Hills, Maryland and Cecilia Richardson of Roxboro, North Carolina; sons: Orlando Q. Richardson, Sr. (Stacey) of Manitou Park, South Toms River, New Jersey and Marvin S. Richardson (Shirley) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; 12 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; the Zion Christian Center church family of Roxboro, North Carolina; and the staff of Amedisys Hospice, who provided care and support.
