Ms. Erselle Annette Chavis, age 67, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Durham VA Health Care System in Durham, North Carolina.
Erselle was born on September 19, 1958 in Roxboro, North Carolina to Earselene and Jessie Chavis. She received her education in the Person County School System and attended Person Senior High School. She enjoyed playing basketball.
Erselle served her country. She was a Veteran - a proud member of the United States Army and the National Guard.
In addition to her parents, Erselle was preceded in death by her sisters Giselle Chavis and Kimberly Kelsey.
Erselle Annette Chavis leaves to cherish her memory her brother Ernie Chavis (Susan) of Richmond, Virginia; God sister Gay Hughes of Roxboro, North Carolina; devoted friend and life partner Larussia Parker of Roxboro, North Carolina; nephew Aaron Adam (Kati) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; niece Adrianna Kelsey of Salisbury, North Carolina; great-niece and great-nephew Mya and Eli Adam, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and numerous additional loving relatives and friends.
Although gone, but never will be forgotten. We will miss you, but you have a higher calling now.
Celebration of Life
A gathering of family and friends
will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026
from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM
at 125 Hill Street in Roxboro, North Carolina.
