Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs Maggie Mamie Lester, age 96, or Roxboro, North Carolina, departed this life on May 2, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Maggie Mamie Lester is survived by two sisters, Fannie Bradshaw of Timberlake, North Carolina and Joyce Moore of Burlington, North Carolina; Three brothers, Benny Richmond of Burlington, Dennis Richmond (wife Darlene) of Burlington, and Joe Richmond of Roxboro; a special friend, Jeanette Williams and husband, Wallace of Roxboro; and a host of nieces, nephews and additional relatives and friends.
