Mr. Vincent Coy Battle, age 52, departed his Earthly life and entered Eternal Rest on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Vincent was a member of Shady Hill Baptist Church in Roxboro, North Carolina and excelled at cooking - working as a traveling Sous Chef.
Vincent was preceded in death by father Coy D. Newman; uncles: Earl B. Wade, Clinton Wade, Jr. and Leroy Marable; aunt Gwendolyn Wade; and loving great grandmother Mrs. Willie Sapp.
Mr. Vincent Coy Battle leaves to cherish his memory his parents Danny and Sylvia Battle-Pettiford; three daughters: Madison Nicole Battle of Roxboro, North Carolina; Kendra Battle Oldroyd of Elmire, New York; and Zaya Steward of Florida; two sons: Terrico “Dante” Miller of Durham, North Carolina; and Vincent Battle, Jr. of the home; one grandchild, Ezekiel Battle Aleman of Roxboro, North Carolina; grandparents: Kay Battle Paylor of Timberlake, North Carolina; and Emma Hester Pettiford of Roxboro, North Carolina; aunts: Ann Bradsher of Roxboro, North Carolina; Laura Webb and Evangelist Martha Bass, both of Timberlake, North Carolina; Mary McKinney of Durham, North Carolina; Veronica Pettiford of Mebane, North Carolina; and Beverly Linsey of Gaithersburg, Maryland; uncles: Anthony and James Wade, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; Sherman Newman of Durham, North Carolina; Gordon Sapp of Roxboro, North Carolina; Pastor Steve Sapp of Raeford, North Carolina; and Greg Pettiford and Stacey Pettiford, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; and numerous loving additional relatives and friends.
