Mrs. Nellie Lee Smith Goodman, age 94, departed her Earthly life and entered Eternal Rest on her birthday, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at her residence in Roxboro, North Carolina. Her family and friends fondly called her “Pee Wee”.
She was born in Person County, North Carolina on July 24, 1931 to the late Haywood Smith, Sr. and the late Georgianna Jones Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Floyd Goods, Sr., Roger Johnson and Rudolph Goodman; sons: Floyd Goods II, Arthur Goods, Roy Johnson; God Son: Floyd Goods, III; sister: Nora Dildy; brother: Haywood Smith, Jr.; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Nellie Lee Smith Goodman leaves to cherish her memory her sons: William Johnson of the home and Israel Johnson of Goose Creek, South Carolina; daughters: Kathy Johnson (boyfriend Maurice) and Sherry Scott (David), both of Roxboro, North Carolina; Godsons: Elmer Stewart (Cathia) of Milton, North Carolina and Maurice Comer of Roxboro; God Daughter Audrey Stewart of Fort Washington, Maryland; siblings: Nancy Daye (Bobby) of Roxboro; Bessie Butler and Lillian Rucker; nephew: Winston Villines of Roxboro; niece: Renee’ Holiday (Donald) of Manassas, Virginia; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; additional loving relatives and friends.
