Mr. Charlie Joseph “Plunk” Claiborne, Jr., age 62, a native of Person County departed this earthly life on Monday, February 28, 2022 at his residence in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Charlie is preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Meadows Claiborne; his father Charlie Claiborne, Sr.; his wife Darlene Claiborne; and one sister Mary Meadows. 

Mr. Charlie Joseph “Plunk” Claiborne, Jr. leaves to cherish precious memories: three brothers Lawrence Claiborne and Sylvester “Poochie” Claiborne both of Roxboro, North Carolina and Nathan Claiborne of Semora, North Carolina; five nephews: Robert Newman, Dante Pulliam, Tony McGhee, Chad Woods (Krystle) and Steven Claiborne; four nieces: Shirley Meadows, Arlene Crews (Kevin), Megan Claiborne and Jasmine Medley, all who loved him dearly; family friend Bobby Reaves; and a host of additional loving relatives and friends.
