Mrs. Lottie Beatrice (B.B.) Barnett Hudson heard the Lord’s call and answered on December 29, 2017. She was born on April 8, 1951 to the late Odessa Barnett Thomas and Louis Ramsey. She was reared by her late grandparents, Conlee and Lottie Barnett.

Lottie (B.B.) Hudson was a member of the Mill Hill Baptist Church, and later the Hyco Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the Junior and Senior Choirs, and served on the Culinary Committee. She remained a loyal member until her health no longer permitted her to attend services.

Lottie (B.B.) Hudson was educated in the Person County School System where she was a member of the graduating class of 1969.  She continued her educational endeavors at North Carolina Central University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 1974. As a devoted educator in Person County, Durham County, and Danville, VA for 37 years, she devoted her experience, knowledge, and love to her students, parents, and faculty with an adoring smile that affected everyone that she came in contact with. She will be missed, and never forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

A dedicated mother, grandmother and sister, she assumed the responsibility of helping to raise her sister and brother (Terri and Aaron) after the passing of their mother. “ BB” was a kind hearted person, and had a sense of humor that rivaled most comedians. She loved everyone, and treated everyone with love and respect.

Lottie (B.B.) Hudson is survived by her fiance, Edward A. Spencer of the home; daughter Cortnee Barnett-Spencer of Fayetteville, NC; granddaughters Aria and Melody McNair of Fayetteville, NC; sisters Teresa Thomas Tucker (husband Herbert), of Pelham, NC; Beverly Ramsey of Roxboro, NC, and 4 brothers - James Ramsey Jr, Willie Lea Ramsey, Aaron Thomas (wife Anjanet) and  Glen Earl Ramsey in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of the late
Mrs. Lottie Barnett Hudson
would like to thank everyone
for the many acts of kindness that
were received after the death
of their loved one.
