Deacon Bobby Reginald Holloway, Sr. age 86, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham, North Carolina. He was a native of Person County and a lifelong member of Lawson Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Eugenia Holloway; and siblings Bretia Rogers, Charles Holloway, Gutherine Brodie, Maxine Holloway, George Holloway, Dallas Holloway, Luther Holloway, Edward Holloway and John Holloway.
Deacon Holloway is survived by his wife Catherine P. Holloway of the home; two daughters Jacqueline Woody (husband Terry) of Roxboro, NC and Angela Frye (husband Henry) of Pleasant Garden, NC; two sons Michael Holloway (wife Denise) of Danville, VA and Bobby Holloway, Jr. (wife Alease) of Durham, NC; one grandson who was raised as a son Terrill Holloway (wife Carrieta) of Danville, VA; special children Sheldon McCoy of Burlington, NC, April Bond of Durham, NC, Cynthia Morton of Roxboro, NC and Annette Holloway of Roxboro, NC; six sisters-in-law Shelby Pettiford, Elizabeth Pettiford McCoy and Mary Jones all of Roxboro, NC, Wilbert Holloway and Helen Holloway of Trenton, NJ and Omega Armstrong of Durham, NC; three brothers-in-law Randolph Pettiford, George Pettiford (wife Flossie) and Curtis Clay all of Roxboro, NC; one uncle John Jones of Roxboro, NC; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
