Ms. Deborrah Gentry, age 73, departed her earthly home and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at LifeBridge Health/Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born on December 27, 1949 in Person County to the late Aurelious and TheoDessie Lawson Gentry.
Deborrah was educated in the Person County School System. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, serving on various auxiliaries within the church - including the Young Adult Department, Senior Usher Board, Junior Usher Board Advisor, Hallelujah Choir, Sunday School, and Kitchen Committee, prior to relocating, in 1988, to live with her sister in Baltimore, Maryland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Hollis Gentry and Dolphus Gentry.
Deborrah leaves to cherish her memories her brothers Enoch Gentry (Vera) and Michael Gentry (Lauryetta) of Roxboro, North Carolina; sisters Patricia Gentry of Baltimore, Maryland and Thanetta Gentry of Marietta, Georgia; step-mother Mable Gentry of Roxboro, North Carolina; step-sisters Cathy Ward of Semora, North Carolina and Ann Linzey of Roxboro, North Carolina; step-brother Raymond Bradsher of Roxboro, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:30 AM at New Fellowship Christian Community Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Burial will follow at King Memorial Park in Windsor Mill, Maryland.
William C. Brown Community Funeral Home P.A. in Baltimore, Maryland is in charge of services.
