Mr. Walter Wesley Woody, age 80, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Oxford, North Carolina. He was born in Person County to the union of John Lewis Woody and Rejoyice Whitlock Woody.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Hattie Joann Woody; one son Jerry Woody; one daughter Linda Gail Fox; four brothers Berkely Woody, John Willis Woody, Douglas Woody and John Doris Woody; and three sisters Minnie Carol Woody, Frances Fuller and Barbara Ann Jordan.

Mr.Woody is survived by two daughters Hattie Poole (Stefan) and Crystal Woody, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; three sons Walter Woody, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina; Steven Woody and Shawn Woody, both of Timberlake, North Carolina; seven sisters Stella Cole, Rejoice Woody and Jewel Crutchfield all of Leasburg; Willie Woody Blackwell and Brenda Woody, both of Durham, North Carolina; Annette Lawson of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Virginia Pettiford (Michael) of Laurinburg, North Carolina; two brothers Elvis Woody (Anne) of Durham, North Carolina; and Wayne Burwell of Roxboro, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of additional loving relatives and friends.
