​Mr. Curtis Lee Short, age 73, of Roxboro, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Monday, April 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Wallace, South Carolina but relocated to Roxboro where he made his home for approximately thirty years.  

Mr. Curtis Lee Short was preceded in death by his parents Willie Major Short and Maserine Bloomfield Short; five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Curtis Lee Short is survived by three daughters Mary Ann Byrd (husband Bryant) of Indian Trail, North Carolina; Frances Lee Short and Vickie Elaine Short, both of Cheraw, South Carolina; one brother James Edward Short of Cheraw, South Carolina; three sisters Marie Short of Cheraw, South Carolina; Annie Mae Short Brown of Wallace, South Carolina; and Catherine Short Foster (husband Ed) of Wallace, South Carolina; four nieces Carolyn Short Wilson, Mary Short Scoggins and Maureen McLaurin (husband Edwin), all of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Teresa Thomas of Oxon Hill, Maryland; two nephews Little Major Short of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Pastor Clifton D. Moore (wife Sandra) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
