Mr. James Delano Sampson, age 84, entered eternal rest on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Canterbury House in Roxboro, North Carolina.


He was born in Clinton, North Carolina to the union of James Earl Sampson and Loubertha Butler Sampson. After moving to Roxboro, he worked as a professional barber for more than 65 years.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sampson was preceded in death by one daughter Angela Sampson Muldrow.

He is survived by two daughters Minister Anita Carol Sampson of White Plains, Maryland and Sheryl Sampson Winstead (husband Don) of Roxboro, North Carolina; one son Reverend Ricky D. Sampson (wife Queen) of Timberlake, North Carolina; two sisters Elaine Sampson Smith and Marilyn Sampson Mills, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of additional relatives and friends.
