Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dorothy Jones Pettaway, age 83, passed away on Sunday January 14, 2018 at Person County Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy Pettaway is survived by her husband Frank Pettaway and her daughter Vanessa Poole of Roxboro, Roxboro, North Carolina. She is also survived by two sisters – Nancy Brown of Baltimore, Maryland and Janice Bright of Roxboro, North Carolina; two brothers – Steve Jones of Roxboro, North Carolina and Fred Whitted of Roxboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.
