Ms. Dorothy Ann “Payne” Winstead Lawson, age 75, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at her residence in Roxboro, North Carolina.
She was a native of Person County and the daughter of the late Oscar Winstead and the late Ada Williams Winstead. “Payne” retired from GKN Driveline in Roxboro, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Lawson was preceded in death by three brothers: Oscar Winstead, Danny Winstead and James Williams.
Ms. Dorothy Ann “Payne” Winstead Lawson leaves to cherish her memory her son McArthur Edwards of Roxboro, North Carolina; five sisters Katie Wade, Nancy Canada, Brenda McNair, Janice Blackwell (husband Marcus) and Linda Winstead, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; two brothers Donald Winstead (wife Elaine) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Bobby Winstead of Creedmoor, North Carolina; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
