Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home.
Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mr. Mack Burton Jr, age 86, of Leasburg, NC entered into eternal rest at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Alene Morton Burton of the home; one son, Mack Burton III (wife Adrienne) of Durham, NC; granddaughter, Melissa Burton and great-granddaughter, Kalila Blue both of Greensboro, NC; his sister, Alice Burton Robinson (husband Delmar) of Washington, D.C.; three sisters-in-law, Beatrice Morton of Hurdle Mills, NC; Arcelia Smith of Greensboro, NC; and Mary Lee Villines of Hillsborough, NC; ten nieces, three nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
