Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home.
Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Benjamin Bobby Wade, age 74, of Hurdle Mills, NC passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hoke Family Pavillion in Durham, NC. Prior to returning to North Carolina, Ben Wade retired from Baltimore Gas and Electric Company in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ben Wade is survived by his wife Fannie Shaw Wade of the home, one son Bobby Pierre Wade of Durham, North Carolina, three daughters - Tonya Wade of Durham, North Carolina, Ty-Ronda Wade Craig of Atlanta, Georgia; and Tasha Hightower of Baltimore, Maryland; and one sister Ruth W. Mangum of Bahama, North Carolina. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
