Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home.
Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia. She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Herbert Leon Harris, age 82, of Roxboro, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Duke Medical Pavillion in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to his retirement, Herbert Leon Harris was employed as the Human Resources Director at Burroughs Wellcome in Research Triangle Park.
Herbert Leon Harris is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Harris of Roxboro, NC, and two sons – Miklos Leon Harris (wife Gladys) of Mebane, NC, and Dwayne Harris (wife Sharon) of Raleigh, NC.
Herbert Leon Harris is also survived by one sister - Barbara Serrell of Providence, Rhode Island; and two brothers – Hubert Harris of Providence, Rhode Island and Ernest Harris of Knightdale, NC. He is also survived by two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of additional relatives and friends.
