Mrs. Patrice Hughes Spence Burrell, age 52, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Durham County but made her home in Roxboro.

She was preceded in death by her father Thurman Newman and brother Shaune Newman.

Mrs. Burrell is survived by her husband Jeremiah Burrell of the home; four sons Joseph Spence and Jy-Heim Spence, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; Erik Campbell and Derek Campbell, both of Durham, North Carolina; three daughters Jamesha Burrell, Ashley Burrell and Rennesha Burrell, all of Oxford, North Carolina; her mother Velma Rogers of Roxboro, North Carolina; step-father Walter Dillehay of Timberlake, North Carolina; sister Vel Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; mother-in-law Pearlie Burrell of Roxboro, North Carolna; nine grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, relatives and friends.
