Mr. Clark Gable Stewart, age 87, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born to the union of the late Alphonso Stewart and the late Julian Lunsford Stewart.
He received his education from Person County Schools, Winston-Salem Teachers College (now Winston-Salem State University) and Bowie State University. He was an educator in Person County, North Carolina and the District of Columbia for more than 30 years. Mr. Stewart was one of the founding members of the Roxboro Reunion Scholarship Committee and a Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Stewart is survived by six nieces Beverly (husband Howard) of Raleigh, North Carolina; Deborah of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Lori of Miami, Florida; Chandana (husband Jon) of New York; Unnathi of Seattle, Washington; and Anne of New York; two great nieces Denise and Lucy; one great nephew Peter; two cousins Gwen Harris and Myrl Lunsford, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; a special son Steve Faison of Washington, DC; special friends Sherri Talley, Ron and Pearlie James and James Winstead, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
