Ms. Sandra Louise Hamlett, age 56, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina. Sandra was affectionately known as “Turk” by her family and close friends. She was a native of Person County, a member of the Person Senior High School - Class of 1984 and a long time member of Hyco Zion Baptist Church.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Earl Lewis Hamlett, Sr. and Barbara Jean Stanfield Hamlett, and one sister Angelia Renee Hamlett.

Ms. Sandra Louise Hamlett leaves to cherish her memory one son Richard Dearell Clayborn and one grandson Mason Lamar Clayborn, both of Burlington, North Carolina; four sisters Laura Royster (husband Bobby) of Burlington, North Carolina; Helen Street of Greensboro, North Carolina; Stella Thaxton (husband Owen) of Milton, North Carolina; and Jackie Hamlett of Durham, North Carolina; two brothers Reverend Gordon Hamlett (wife Marchenia) and Earl Lewis Hamlett, Jr. (Cynthia) both of Roxboro, North Carolina; aunts Sallie Harris (Junious Sr.), Minister Peggie Oliver (husband Joseph), Edna Royster (husband David), and Shirley Hamlett, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
