Mrs. Mamie Rogers Winstead, age 82, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

She was a native of Person County, North Carolina, born to the union of the late Ira Thomas Rogers and the late Odell Jacobs Rogers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Carla Winstead Johnson; sisters: Iola Rogers Daye, Barbara Ann Pettiford and Pearl Rogers; and brothers: Johnny Rogers and Matthew Rogers.

Mrs. Mamie Rogers Winstead leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Carl Winstead, Jr.; grandchildren Marla Johnson, Mychaell Johnson and Michael Johnson, Jr.; great-grandchildren Mycah Johnson and Mylan Johnson; sister Glennie Carver; son-in-law Michael Johnson; sisters-in-law Frances Rogers and Pauline Winstead; niece Evangeline Richardson; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
