Mrs. Shirby Jean Trotter, age 85, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Trotter was a native of Seaboard, North Carolina but made her home in Roxboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents Grover Cleveland Jordan and Magdalene Peebles Jordan Faison; sister Lois Jane Branch and brother Grover Cleveland Jordan, Jr.
Mrs. Shirby Jean Trotter leaves to cherish her memory her husband Robert C. Trotter of the home; daughters Sandra Trotter-Wilson (husband Jeffrey) of Durham, North Carolina and Brenda Trotter-Workman of The Bronx, New York; son Robert C. Trotter, Jr. (wife Lorraine) of Bolivia, North Carolina; sisters Beatrice Flythe (husband Stewart) of Seaboard, North Carolina; Frances Ann Sykes (husband Carroll) of Bowie, Maryland; Maxine Jordan of The Bronx, New York; and Shelia Yvette Pope (husband Gregory) of Southfield, Michigan; grandchildren Jaysen Wilson (wife Melodie) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Jordan Wilson (wife Shaquita) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jacquelyn Wilson of Durham, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren Aaron Wilson, Alexander Wilson, Santonio Wilson, Sedrick McLeod and Talia McLeod; and numerous loving additional relatives and friends.
