​Mr. James (Moosie) Barton Paylor, age 70, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his residence in Roxboro, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Person County High School and a member of the Class of 1967. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Barton Paylor and Katie Rogers Paylor, one sister Loretta Paylor and one brother Dennis Paylor. He is survived by his wife Minister Dorothy B. Paylor of the home; five sons Jeffrey Todd Paylor, James Paylor, Jr., Martin Paylor, and Dennis Zachary Paylor all of Roxboro, North Carolina; and Charles Paylor of Greensboro, North Carolina; five daughters Consuela Pettiford, Mea McGhee, Brandon Paylor, Allayah Paylor, and Angela Daye all of Roxboro, North Carolina; two sisters Uetta Bailey and Deborah Pegnado (Husband Vincent) both of Roxboro, North Carolina; one aunt Alice Strawther of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; two uncles John "Chick" Graves of Greensboro, North Carolina and Hugh Martin Graves of New York, New York; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
