Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Minnie Johnson Neal, age 80, of Roxboro, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Mrs. Minnie Johnson Neal is survived by six children – Toney Neal Sr (wife Valerie) of Greensboro, NC; Letitia Crutchfield (husband Lorenzo) of Greensboro, NC; Terry Neal (wife Wanda) of Roxboro, NC; Felicia Chamblee (husband Lonnie) of Newport News, VA; Tyrone Neal of Chapel Hill, NC; and Patricia Maness (husband John) of Raleigh, NC.  She is also survived by two sisters -  Emily Thornton of Roxboro, NC and Cordelia Green of Roxboro, NC and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.
