Mr. Nathaniel “Vine” Leathers, age 66, a native of Person County, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Yanceyville, North Carolina. He was born to the union of the late Walter and late Sallie Leathers. 

He attended Person County Schools and was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Walter James Leathers. He is survived by three children -  Leslie Jackson (husband Marcus) of Shelby, North Carolina; Jason Mitchell of Knightdale, North Carolina; and Terrell Stewart of Roxboro, North Carolina; two sisters - Merry Leathers of Roxboro, North Carolina and Helen Leathers of Hillsborough, North Carolina; three brothers - Ira “Pete” Leathers of Greensboro, North Carolina; Luther “Wayne” Leathers of Roxboro, North Carolina, and Ronnie Leathers of Roxboro, North Carolina; three aunts - Gracie O’Briant of Roxboro, North Carolina; Helen Preston of Long Island, New York; and Jeannie McDonald of Sanford, North Carolina; six grandchildren; four nephews; two nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
