Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hilda Bailey Johnson, age 83, of Roxboro, North Carolina passed away on Sunday March 4, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center.  

Mrs. Hilda Bailey Johnson is the widow of the late George Washington Johnson. She was preceded in death by her daughter – Dinetta Johnson Lawson. She is survived by two children – Phyllis Faye Johnson of the home and Tony Curtis Johnson of Silver Spring, Maryland. She is also survived by one sister - Brenda Brooks Farley (husband Matthew) of Richmond, Virginia and one brother - James Bailey (wife Corinne) of Timberlake, North Carolina; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of additional relatives and friends.
