Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Nannie Ruth Winstead Galloway, age 98, of Roxboro, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 09, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital. Nannie Ruth Winstead Galloway was the daughter of the late Otis and Millie Moore. She was preceded in death by six children – Catherine Winstead, Dorothy Winstead, Jennie Bell Winstead, Claiborne Winstead, Donnell Winstead, and James Henry Winstead, Jr.

Mrs. Nannie Ruth Winstead Galloway is survived by three sons, Charlie Winstead (wife Benie) of Ohio; Wayne Winstead (wife Frankie) of Burlington, NC; and W.C. Winstead of Durham, NC; three daughters, Lucy Boyd (husband Rev. Booker T), Nannie Ramsey, and Roselyne Cameron all of Roxboro, NC; one sister Lloyd Ann Harris of Timberlake, NC; and one brother-in-law James Galloway of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by four generations of grandchildren; and a host of additional relatives and friends.
