Mr. Arthur Graves Davis, age 87, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Commonwealth Senior Living in South Boston, Virginia. He was a native of Person County and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Arthur Graves Davis was preceded in death by his parents Ezra Davis and Mary Bradsher Davis, his wife Mary “Clote” Thorpe Davis, four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by two daughters Phyllis Smith (husband Dennis) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Joyce Yarbrough of Durham, North Carolina; one son Arthur Davis, Jr. (wife Joyce) of Timberlake, North Carolina; three sisters Shirley Yarbrough, Mary Ann Paylor and Stella Davis, all of Roxboro, North Carolina; two brothers JC Davis and Franklin “Soul” Davis, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
