Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mr. Robert Lee Cunningham (known as Weedie), age 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital. He was formerly employed at Cone Mill in Burlington, NC and the Person County Public Library.  

Mr. Robert Lee Cunningham is survived by his wife Betty Taborn Cunningham; his stepmother Texie Bailey Ragland and 12 children – Gertie Ragland, Sara Paylor, Michelle Jackson, Carmen Cunningham, Jennifer Cunningham, Robert Cunningham Jr., Charlie Bailey, Tracie Moore, Lisa Street, Dennis Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, and Billy Clyde. He is also survived by brothers – Lonnie Cunningham, James Ragland, Clipper Jordan, Mike Talley, James Findley, Ira Findley, and John Findley. He is also survived by sisters – Peggie Oliver , Janice Ward, Mary Jordan, Mildred Rich, Tracy Seldon, Diane Ragland, Mary Ragland, and Sylvia Ragland. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
