Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fuller Chavis, age 85, of Roxboro, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Beacon Place Hospice Home in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fuller Chavis was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Chavis, Sr.; three sons, Oddie Lee Chavis, Ollie Chavis, and Walter Chavis; and two daughters, Betty Joy Chavis and Classie Cheryl Chavis.

Mrs. Chavis is survived by four sons, Earl Lewis Fuller of Timberlake, North Carolina, James Darnell Fuller of Burlington, North Carolina, Robert Alfonzo Chavis of Greensboro, North Carolina, and George Chavis, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina; four daughters, Linda Kaye Allen of Fort Washington, Maryland, Althea Elaine Chavis of Williamsburg, Virginia, Cheryl Dannette Chavis of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Sondra Jo Chavis Bullock of Greensboro, North Carolina; one brother, Robert Henry Fuller of Roxboro, North Carolina; one sister, Barbara Blaine of Roxboro, North Carolina; two special cousins, Fannie Bradshaw of Timberlake, North Carolina and Joyce Richmond of Burlington, North Carolina; A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
