Mrs. Bessie Lee Woods Bumphus, age 86, a native of Person County, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Yancey Woods and Mary Bailey Woods; her husband Mark Bumphus, Sr.; son Ronald Bumphus and brother James McArthur Woods.

Mrs. Bumphus leaves to cherish her memory three sons Mark Bumphus-El, Jr., (Wilma), Donald Bumphus and Bernard Bumphus; one brother Willie Thomas Woods; Nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five nephews; a special niece Debra Lee Woods Sims; special friend Sallie Mae Stewart Robinson; and a host of loving cousins, additional relatives and friends.
