Ms. Isabell Burton Bumpass, age 82, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina. She was a native of Person County and the daughter of the Late John Robert Burton, Sr. and the Late Elizabeth Mangum Burton.
She was preceded in death by 5 sisters; 2 brothers; 3 daughters Shelia Bumpass, Jeanette Bumpass, and Bonita Bumpass; 1 son Robert (“Bobby”) Bumpass; 1 grandson Tybray Featherstone; and 1 longtime friend John Wilkerson.
Ms. Bumpass is survived by one daughter Francine Bumpass Daye (husband Thomas) of Roxboro, North Carolina; five granddaughters Galisa Royster of Raleigh, North Carolina; Dana Owens (husband Shannan) of Oxford, North Carolina; Pascha Chapell of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Franterra Featherstone of Dumfries, Virginia; and Janetti Featherstone of Timberlake, North Carolina; seven great grandsons; five great granddaughters; and a host of additional relatives and friends.
