Geneva Clayton Petty, age 70, of 2157 East Hyco Road in South Boston, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016  at her home.

Geneva Clayton Petty was a member of the Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was the president of the Missionary Circle, and a member of the Spiritual Choir, and the Culinary Committee. Geneva Clayton Petty is survived by two sons -- Steven J. Petty (wife Cynthia) of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stanley K. Petty of South Boston, Virginia.  She is also survived by her brother, Ulysses Clayton of Asheboro, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law -- Aldean Petty of Florida; Barbara Petty of Washington, DC and Frances Petty of Michigan.; and two grandchildren – Cinzia A. Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina and Stavanna A Petty of Roxboro, North Carolina in addition to a host of additional relatives and friends.

Mrs. Meredith Amanda Elizabeth House Blackwell, age 84, was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 while at her home, surrounded by her children.

Mrs. Meredith Amanda Elizabeth House Blackwell was preceded in death by her husband, Lenzie Earl Blackwell, Sr. She is survived by one son, Lenzie Earl Blackwell, Jr. of Roxboro, NC; six daughters, Lillian Sage’El (husband, Kevin) of Kenya, Africa; Jacqueline Jones (husband, Charles) of Charlotte, NC; Cynthia Anita Thomas and Frankie Blackwell of Roxboro, NC; Sharon Chavis (husband, Carlton) of El Paso, Texas; and Nicole Blackwell-Outlaw (husband Christopher) of Roxboro, NC; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hattie Belle Baker of New Jersey; Georgia Smalls of Washington, DC; and Gloria Bigelow of Roxboro, NC; two sisters-in-law, Delois Driver of Dallas, Texas and Elizabeth B. Blackwell of Roxboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Mrs. Meredith Blackwell.
